Position Summary: Plans, organizes and coordinates all aspects of the facility’s 
internal Risk Management and Patient Safety program. 

This position requires knowledge of Risk Management, Patient Safety, Claims 
Management and other regulatory and legal requirements. 
Essential responsibilities include: The ability to retrieve, communicate 
and present data and information verbally and in writing, a professional 
demeanor and the ability to maintain confidentiality of information. 

Responsible for the Risk Management Program, Patient Safety Program, Claims 
Management, Bio - Ethics Committee and for assisting in overall Hospital
wide improvement and risk reduction activities.

Qualifications: Hospital acute care Risk Management experience preferred. 
Knowledge of current regulatory agency requirements; demonstrates principles 
and practices of Risk Management; self motivated and works independently; 
skill in gathering, analyzing and evaluating data; ability to work effect
ively with medical, nursing, ancillary, administrative staff, the public 
and external agencies; skill in written and verbal communication.

Required Certification/Licensure/Registration: Current licensure as a 
Health care Risk Manager in the State of Florida. Prefer current 
licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida and Certification
as a Healthcare Risk Manager (CPHRM)
