Job Description :
Responsibilities include:
Assist guests/crew members/corporate travelers with flight interruptions, follow through on all protections, and document all flight, hotel, meals and any additional transportation arrangements for weather, mechanical delays or other unusual travel interruptions
Liaise with Ship and Pier personnel, airlines, hotels and all vendors
Ensure that all daily work is processed within 48 hours of booking transaction for all new guest adds, cancellations, name changes and services changes captured on the daily activity and error code reports
Secures the lowest air fare and hotel cost using Bargain Finder
Responsible to assign overnight hotel package code and proactively advise booking agent or guests of forced overnights
Ensures that guests booking are error free and that flight and hotel information is sent to the mainframe by 75 days prior
Proactively advise the guest or travel agent of inferior accommodations after exhausting all possibilities in securing the best possible service within an acceptable time edit
Obtain proper approvals when airline schedule, hotel or additional transportation is higher than the lowest rate available or is out of set guidelines
Validate that all guests have an active ticket prior to sailing
Review inventory in order to maintain excellent utilization of space with the airlines and vendors
Required Qualifications :
Proven track record of prior experience as an Airline Reservations or Travel agent
GDS experience making reservations, preferably Sabre, and faring/ticketing
Must be detail-oriented; possess excellent analytical and organizational skills, good written and verbal communication, professional and courteous
The ability to work effectively in a multi-tasked, fast-paced environment, under tight deadlines; and be able to analyze and resolve issues independently.
